Arch of Cabo San Lucas

The arch of Cabo San Lucas is a distinctive rock formation at the southern tip of Cabo San Lucas, which is itself the extreme southern end of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The arch is locally known as "El Arco," which means "the arch" in Spanish, or "Land's End."

It is here that the Pacific Ocean becomes the Gulf of California.

Turtles in a Half Shell

The Sea of Cortez and Baja California peninsula is home to five species of sea turtles; Hawksbill, Loggerhead, Leatherback, Green Turtle, and Olive Ridley - all of which are endangered. Thankfully we have ASUPMATOMA (The Association for the Protection of the Environment and the Marine Turtle in Southern Baja) and other local grassroots organizations that have formed to help & protect the sea turtles.

Grow it.

While Boating and snorkeling are the most popular activities here, there’s another adventure you absolutely need to add to your to-do list:  Whale watching in Cabo San Lucas.

Whale watching here in Cabo is unlike anywhere else. The odds of whale sightings are huge. From December to April each year Humpback Whales and Gray Whales migrate down to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean to mate and give birth.
